“Philanthropy is very important to us. At this stage of our lives, we are fortunate enough to have the ability to fund and to positively impact deserving nonprofit groups.”
“In business, we want to stress to all of our employees and sales partners that the act of giving is vitally important. Our matching donation program is one way that we reinforce the importance of financial support for nonprofit organizations.”
-Gloria Mitchell, Corporate Secretary for Apple Capital Group, Inc.
At Apple Capital Group, Inc., the concept of corporate social responsibility is a reflection of our corporate commitment to building successful and sustainable programs for our employees, sales partners and the communities in which we operate. We focus on donating to local, regional, and international nonprofits that address children’s and health issues.
Apple Capital Group, Inc., has chosen several organizations to receive official corporate support and contributions in 2011. In addition, we have established a matching contribution program which allows us to increase the support for each of these worthy causes by making commensurate donations, subject to approval by Central Payment management, for donations made by our employees or sales partners to any of these organizations. We have concentrated our corporate support in 2013 for the following nonprofit organizations:
American Heart Association (www.americanheart.org)
American Red Cross (www.redcross.org)
American Red Cross
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation’s premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters.
Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety, and international relief and development programs.
An average of 91 cents of every dollar the Red Cross spends is invested in humanitarian services and programs. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time, money, and blood to do its work.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association has a singular mission: to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all that the organizations do.
A donation to the American Heart Association supports the fight against our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers – heart disease and stroke. Contributions will support such life-saving efforts as research, education, advocating for better health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk.
The Association operates several websites, including:
HeartHub for Patients
American Stroke Association
You’re The Cure
Other Community Projects Campaign – “Serving Others With Love”
Helping to Build a Community Neighborhood Park
Feed the Homeless in the Inner City Shelter
Junior Achievement at High School
Mentoring and Tutoring at local Elementary School
Meals on Wheel Volunteer Program
