HMSDC MBEs,
Below is an announcement of a of their bond program. I encourage our MBE A&E firms to attend and to be thinking about who you will team with on these projects.
HMSDC would like to help you win! We have received feedback on why some proposals in Phase 1 & 2 were successful and some were not. Please let me or the HMSDC staff know if we can be helpful to you in preparing your proposal and presentations or building your teams to compete for Phase 3 & 4 work. There is a 20% goal for MWBE participation. I’m told that there is over 50% MWBE participation in Phase 1 & 2. MWBE is a strong factor in selection, but not the compelling factor.
Meeting the needs of the RFP and the needs of the students and families the schools will serve are highest priorities. My hope is that our MBEs will win a significant amount of this business because of your merit and the strength of your proposals. Let me know if we can be of help.
Best regards,
Richard A. Huebner
