Pop culture network MTV is looking to cast young Austin women who are starting a small business with the help of friends for an upcoming episode of “True Life.”
The episode will focus on what happens when personal relationships turn professional, according to CultureMap Austin.
An excerpt from the casting call listed on Austin Craigslist: “Maybe you are starting a restaurant or bar, and staffing it with your buddies is turning into a nightmare. Or you have a novelty business, and it seems like only you and your friends understand the concept.”
So, local businesswomen: If you’re living through the startup experience with a friend (or former friend) and have a story to tell about how it has affected the friendship-turned-business partnership, apply here. You must be 17 to 25 years old and provide your story and photos of you and your team.
“True Life,” which first aired in 1998, is a documentary series that covers a variety of topics. It follows young people as they deal with daily struggles.
