Tulsa’s own Queen of Cakes Kerry Vincent launches a new Food Network series, “Save My Bakery,” on Wednesday night.
And true to form, Australian-born Vincent remains loyal to her home state of Oklahoma in the series. Three of the bakeries that she overhauls on the show are here.
Armed with years of baking experience and a no-nonsense approach, Vincent is on a mission to reinvigorate bakeries.
We caught up with Vincent after she finished filming Thursday. She shared some insight into her love of the sugar arts and the inspiration that led her to her chosen career.
Vincent made her debut on Food Network as a judge on “Food Network Challenge.”
She also founded the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show and the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition in Tulsa. Vincent’s signature cake recipes have been named “exceptional” by Brides magazine.
