Did you know that counterfeiting affects governments, businesses, and consumers alike? The U.S. Department of Commerce reports the number of counterfeit incidents in the defense supply chain is increasing at an alarming rate. The incidents of counterfeit parts can be seen in commercial items, services, aerospace, construction, energy, and medical devices.

The workshop, “Defense Industrial Supply Chain Detection & Avoidance of Counterfeit Parts” provides an awareness level of proactive steps companies in various industries may take to protect themselves from the escalating dangers posed by counterfeit parts. The U.S. government and the industrial community have taken measures to combat this growing problem. Understanding the applicable regulations and industry-certified best practices is the first step to avoiding risk.
